This dataset originated from the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission (ANHC).\r\n The purpose of this dataset is to provide a cartographic representation of the Ecologically Sensitive Waterbodies, as indicated by Regulation No. 2 adopted by the Arkansas Pollution Control And Ecology Commission. This beneficial use identifies segments known to provide habitat within the existing range of threatened, endamgered or endemic species of aquatic or semi-aquatic life forms. Regulation No. 2 sets forth standards to enhance the quality of the water resources of the State of Arkansas. The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality abides by the rules and standards set forth in this regulation.
