This public view displays the statewide Alaska Division of Forestry timber sales. All sales that have a status of 'Active' or 'Terminated' are in this layer. This view is derived from the Silviculture hosted feature layer, where all features with a status of 'Active' or 'Terminated' are included in this view. Though this dataset contains historical timber sale data, there are timber sales sold by DOF that predate GIS records and are largely not included in this layer.
This layer can be used to track the sale and termination dates of harvest units, as well as the products sold within the unit. DOF Area offices responsible for the sale, and the land owners, are also included with each harvest unit feature.
To find proposed or developing sales, the Five Year Schedule of Timber Sales view should be referenced, as those units will not be included in this dataset.\\u00a0
