Wake County Public School System's (WCPSS) No Transportation Zones (NTZ) dilineate areas for specific schools where students do not receive bus transportation. The NTZ boundaries in this dataset represent a collaborative effort between WCPSS's Department of Transportation (DOT) and Office of Geospatial Analytics (OOGA).
The NTZs in this dataset apply for the current school year only. NTZs for the current school year are generally established ahead of the WCPSS Board of Education's approval of the enrollment plan in November of the year prior. However, updates also occur on an as-needed basis in coordination with WCPSS's Department of Transportation. Update requests are submitted by WCPSS DOT to OOGA. OOGA updates and maintains the attributes and geometries of all NTZs.
