The feature dataset contains the Newspaper Coverage areas in the State of Arkansas. The compilation of this dataset was done using coverage information gathered off of the publications website and the contact data collected by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). The project was a collaborative effort between the Arkansas Geographic Information Systems Office and ADH to build a comprehensive geographic database of Media (TV, Radio, Newspapers) coverages in the state for external communication purposes.\r\n The feature dataset serves as an essential tool for the state Department of Health to determine coverage-based information about the media outlet. This critical information is useful to alert the media in case of an emergency and notify the public of a possible disease outbreak, or a bio-terrorism threat.
